February book activities for toddlers and preschoolers

Looking for a fun way to engage your young students during teletherapy or in-person sessions? Or maybe you’re homeschooling you’re own children and are looking for fun ways to promote your child’s development.

This February book activity bundle includes activities for 3 different books focused on a valentines day/friendship theme. The books featured are: Hedgehugs by Steve Wilson and Lucy Tapper , Love from the hungry caterpillar by Eric Carle and My heart is like a zoo by Michael Hall.

It includes a one page pdf for each book describing a fine motor, gross motor, and sensory motor activity related to the book. Each activity requires no or limited commonly found household items to perform. Each handout also includes a clickable YouTube link of the book so the hardcopy of the book is not necessary.

Activities are geared for children ages 2-6.

This bundle also includes a one page parent education handout on other activity ideas and tips for reading books with young children as well as a link to a slide presentation with video examples of coordinating yoga poses to coordinate with the Love from the Hungry Caterpillar book.
